Fenner Benefits - pension website for Fenner PLC

Fenner Benefits is the new pension and in-work benefits information source for all UK employees of Fenner PLC, the world’s leading manufacturer of polymer products. We also manage a full careers website for Fenner PLC.

They approached Zero One Design for a website that would give them the flexibility and look that they needed for a CMS website such as this.

We designed for them the latest version of our responsive and mobile compatible, updateable website systems.

The Fenner family of companies has its head office situated in Hessle in the East Ridings of Yorkshire, not far from Hull where the company was formed by Joseph Henry Fenner back in 1861. Back then it was a manufacturer of industrial leather belting.  As time and technology never rests, Fenner diversified into textile belting in 1921; later, they moved into polymer – it seems their belting is constantly moving with the times! They are now a global leader in the manufacture of polymer-based products.

It is obvious, when you look at their worldwide expansion, just how successful Fenner has been in the past few decades. It boasts a presence internationally, as they build new factories in the places their products are needed the most; Fenner are continuously seeking out new markets, including:

UK * India * China * North America * South America * The Netherlands * Southern Africa

Despite being a global powerhouse, Fenner PLC is an employer with a difference: they know how to look after their employees because they realise that their people are their greatest asset. Nowhere is this more evident than in the UK. Fenner remember their roots, they know where they came from and the sweat and toil it took by local people to get them to where they are today. That is why they have a range of in work benefits and a great retirement plan for their workers.

All employees under the age of 75 can choose to join the Fenner Retirement Plan. It is what is known as a Defined Contribution pension plan where both you and the Company pay contributions to help you save for your retirement. The contributions are safely invested with Standard Life and, when you come to retire, the contributions plus any investment growth can be used to buy a pension. It’s up to you how much you want to contribute and the Company will then match however much you decide to pay in up to 8%.

Along with the Fenner Retirement Plan, you will discover other major benefits, such as: Group Life Assurance which doubles the usual death in service payment to your dependents, Income Protection in case you are unable to work through illness or injury, Employee Assistance Programme which consists of four key services - Employee Care, Health Portal, Bereavement Services, Best Doctors.
