The Launch Pad, Six Finalists

 We are pleased to inform you that ‘The Launch Pad’ competition draws to a close very soon and Zero-One Design will announce the 6 Short-listed finalists.

The ultimate winner of The Launch Pad competition is now only days away from being announced!

 ‘The Launch Pad’ competition which was the brain child of CEO Steven Day is an exciting new project to be held every year giving one lucky recruitment entrepreneur the chance to win up to £15,000 pounds worth of business start-up support and services plus two runners up prizes. Prizes include a website equipped with full recruitment functionality and logo design, full content creation, an online PR service and an initial search engine optimization package for best ranking performance.

Partners of the competition have also added their own services as part of the substantial prize fund such as exclusive free business start-up advice and support from recruitment business investors Orchard JV, a full page advertisement/announcement in the Recruitment International Magazine, a job posting package and CV management tool from their Recruitive Partners and finally chequed.com are offering an innovative online checking reference service for the winning business.

Entrants who applied to the competition from within the UK were encouraged to be as creative as possible using a variety of different mediums to sell their ideas and six exciting new businesses have already been shortlisted as finalists.

The six finalists and in no particular order are;

Intech7 Recruitment – A specialist IT recruitment firm with a driving ambition to become market leaders in their chosen sector. Intech7 aim to deliver specialist, technical support to a market that has seen rapid expansion in the last 5 years.  Company Directors, David Houlihan and Matthew Tribe have over 55 years of experience between them and a proven track record of success in IT recruitment at Senior and Director level. They value their target market at over £204.3M

Adepto Recruitment – A modern technical recruitment company focusing on the supply of engineering personnel to the UK chemical and life sciences manufacturing industries.  Adepto will be utilising a 'duel desk' permanent hire and temporary/contract model, based upon traditional values of in-depth market knowledge, niche speciality and market leading customer service. The UK chemical sciences industry is by far the biggest manufacturer in the country, accounting for £600 bln in annual sales and contributing £195 bln in gross added value (GVA).

CleaningSectorJobs.co.uk  - A recruitment platform dedicated solely to the UK cleaning industry. Their mission is to empower commercial cleaning companies, employment agencies, human resources teams and employers by enabling them to successfully hire and find the right candidates for their cleaning vacancies. The Cleaning Industry in the UK estimates employment of around 448,400 workers operating in over 10,000 companies (CSSA, 2012). They consider themselves to be the first of their kind with within their chosen sector.

PopJob – A social enterprise job board recruitment service linking employers with undiscovered talent via the website. PopJob will help bring together people who manage chronic (lifelong) health conditions with leading employers. This is not about charity this is an opportunity for employers to source undiscovered talent and for jobseekers to be able to find employers who embrace their skills.

Part of PopJob’s mission will be to help educate employers upon not only the benefits to employing a person with a chronic health condition, but to also provide strategies that can help people continue working. In some instances this could be away from the office, using technology to remotely work or just being able to accommodate more flexible hours.

Qsted Recruitment – A recruitment consultancy dedicated to the placement of supply and permanent teachers in London and the South West. This firm is run by teachers for teachers and both CEO’s have a wealth of in depth knowledge in the educational sector.
